Doctor admits using upskirt pen cam to avoid jail

Disgraced Manhattan urologist Adam Levinson copped to using a hidden pen camera in bustling Union Square to film up a woman’s skirt as he was granted a no-jail plea deal in a Manhattan court Wednesday.

The perverted doctor — formerly of Mount Sinai Medical Center but fired last year in the wake of his July arrest — pleaded guilty to just one of the 10 counts against him.

“Is it true you committed the offense?” asked Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Richard Carruthers.

“Yes,” replied the doctor.

The judge sentenced Levinson to five years of probation and granted the defense’s request that the young doctor not have to register as a sex offender.

Defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo argued that Levinson, 40, was a reformed and repentant peeping tom.

“Mr Levinson has sought treatment beginning immediately after his arrest in this case,” Agnifilo said. “He dealt with the allegations head on, he dealt with them like a man just the way he pursued his profession.”

Levinson was busted after he used the surreptitious camera attached to a rolled up newspaper to film up a woman’s skirt in the Union Square subway station on July 31, 2012.

Police said they discovered at least 10 other compromising videos of women when they seized the pen camera.

It’s unclear whether Levinson, who once taught robotic surgery at the hospital, will retain his medical license with a felony conviction.

Had the case gone to trial, the voyeur faced as much as four years in jail on the top count.
