“I’m pleased to say that it is going in the right direction and I will be home soon.”

“The View” den mother tripped on a step last Saturday while at the British Ambassador’s residence — falling and sustaining a cut on her upper temple. She was hospitalized “out of an abundance of caution,” according to ABC, and did not cover any of the inaugural festivities.

“The doctors stitched her up and she is doing fine, but they want her to take it easy,” “View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said on this morning’s show.

Walters, in her statement, said she wanted to “thank all the people who have called, written and been concerned about me.”
