ALBANY — An Albany church that counts Founding Fathers Alexander Hamilton and John Jay among its early worshippers is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year.
The First Presbyterian Church was founded in October 1763 in what is now downtown Albany.
Among those who attended were Jay, Hamilton, and Vice President Aaron Burr, who killed Hamilton in a duel in 1804.
