Real guns, fake $$ in Bronx bust

Three enterprising Bronx teens figured all they needed to mint their own money was paper, a printer and a laptop, cops said.

“Not [exactly] high tech,” said a police source.

Housing cops, tipped off that Leopold Hines, 18, had guns in his family’s Gouverneur Morris Houses unit in Claremont, got his mom’s OK to search Friday — and found in a duffel bag a .38-caliber pistol, a shotgun, ammo, about $1,500 in counterfeit bills and the primitive printing equipment.

Joseph Aruz, 18, Harvey Nelson, 19, and Hines were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a forged instrument.
