Re-busted ‘perp’: What escape?

They weren’t going to let him get away again.

Brandon Santana was shackled and carefully guarded last night after he pleaded not guilty to charges that he escaped from Brooklyn’s 78th Precinct station house — and bowled over a cop as he fled.

Santana, 24, was rearrested Thursday at a friend’s apartment in The Bronx, where he’d been hiding out.

At his latest hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court, he also pleaded not guilty to a charge that he fatally beat father-to-be Alexander Santiago, 22, at 12th Street and Fifth Avenue in Park Slope in August 2010.

After that crime, Santana hid out with relatives in Iowa. But the NYPD caught up with him when he returned to the city last week.

Then he escaped after getting permission to go to the bathroom, cops said, adding that he wasn’t wearing handcuffs as he barreled over an officer and fled the station house.
