How’s he doing’? Just fine.
Former Mayor Ed Koch headed home yesterday after a week in the hospital.
“It’s nice to go home, even though this is like a second home to me now,” the 88-year-old ex-mayor said of New York Presbyterian- Columbia Medical Center.
Koch, who coined the phrase, “How’m I doing?” while in office, used a cane to walk to a waiting car. He said as soon as he got home he would, “Write, answer letters . . . write, write, write.”
He had been admitted on Jan. 19 with fluid in his lungs and swollen ankles.
Koch also was hospitalized in December with a respiratory infection and in September with anemia.
