Pope Francis changed in a Burger King bathroom before Mass

Burger King just got an A rating — from God.

One of the fast food joint’s locations in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, became the holiest of holies Thursday when Pope Francis used it as his dressing room before saying Mass to hundreds of thousands of adoring Catholics.

The Pontiff’s choice to turn the humble fast food joint into his Sacristy was an unexpected honor for the Burger King workers, who were shocked when Francis’ staff showed up looking for a changing area for their boss.

“[They] asked for help because this was an appropriate place and we had closed” to customers for the day, said manager Alfredo Troche.

The staff quickly helped Francis have it his way. They even covered the windows with white curtains, to give his holiness privacy as he donned his robe and miter.

The Argentina-born Pope — who has been treated like returning hero during his visit to South America this week — was spotted walking outside to the nearby stage after his quick change. He was surrounded by black-suited security men and white-robed fellow clerics.

Burger King officials reacted to the visit like star-struck burger commoners.

“Welcome Pope Francis, thank you for choosing the restaurant BK El Cristo as your sacristy. Burger King Bolivia receives you with open arms,” the company said in a gushing Facebook post that read like an endorsement from God.

“Such a huge blessing to all those who visit us every day.”

Facebook users in South America flocked to the company’s page to decare that the fast food place may now be a blessed holy site.

“A thousand congratulations,” one said. “You have a blessing. Today we are filled with joy in [Santa Cruz]!”

Other’s said the visit burnished the Pope’s image as a Pontiff for the common people.

“This pope is so on point,” said user Jorge Cervera. “It’s good to buy local.”

Somewhat ironically, after dressing the Burger King, the pope took the stage and gave a homily blasting consumerism, arguing that by materialistic logic, everything becomes an object that can be consumed and negotiated.
