Murder suspect bragged: ‘I’m the killer’

The Brooklyn security guard on trial for murdering his nudist gal pal bragged to his younger brother, “I’m not even broken down and I’m the killer,” a week after the shooting, prosecutors revealed Tuesday.

Woody Borgella, 32, faces a murder rap for blasting Lora Ann Evans, 31, in the chest during a violent fight in their Midwood apartment in 2011.

“Calm down, son … what are you talking about?” Borgella’s surprised brother said on a recording of the Rikers Island call played for the Brooklyn Supreme Court jury.

“Well, that’s what they are accusing me of,” said Borgella, who claims he shot Evans in self-defense because she slashed him with a knife.

Borgella took the stand Tuesday, testifying that Evans was sleeping with his roommate and regularly walked around the apartment naked.

“My intention was not to shoot her. My intention was to scare her,” he testified.

Borgella posted violent rap lyrics – “I smell murder every time the wind blows” – on his Facebook page just three days before shooting Evans, but on the stand he claimed that somebody else had access to his account and posted the ominous words.

The accused killer also testified that he called his wife from Rikers a few days after the shooting to apologize for shooting Evans.

“That was very selfish what I did cause I didn’t think about the situation because it all just happened so f—ing fast and sh–,” Borgella said in the recorded call.

Prosecutors and Borgella’s defense attorney will give closing arguments Wednesday and the jury will begin deliberations.
