Kroenke hunting Outdoor Channel

The owner of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche is looking to add another asset to his lineup: the Outdoor Channel.

Stanley Kroenke’s self-named sports and entertainment giant has made a preliminary $8.75-a-share cash offer for the media company, it said in a statement.

Just a week ago, The Post revealed that a group of unidentified Hollywood heavyweights, alongside an Outdoor Channel shareholder, stood ready to make an all-cash bid for the Outdoor Channel that exceeded a proposed merger with InterMedia Outdoors. The InterMedia cash and stock offer is valued at $8 a share.

In after-hours trading yesterday, Outdoor Channel shares rose 12.6 percent, or 95 cents, to $8.50.
