Enough already! More snow to sock NYC

There’s snow end to this weather!

March will roar into New York and drop up to 10 inches of snow starting Sunday night and into Monday.

The snow will create extremely hazardous conditions during the Monday afternoon commute, weather experts said. And snowfall rates could surpass two inches per hour in some locations.

“It may be difficult to shovel and plow due to its weight,” predicted AccuWeather’s Alex Sosnowski.

Light snow will start on Sunday night but will grow much heavier on Monday, when the storm will cause “major disruptions,” he said.

On Monday, the power of the storm will depend on two high-pressure systems.

“The challenge with this storm is figuring out where the north-south boundary between rain and snow will set up and migrate to as the storm progresses eastward,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Elliot Abrams.

Temperatures will plunge as low as 22 degrees on Sunday, 15 on Monday and 14 on Tuesday.

The storm is expected to leave the New York area by Tuesday.

More than 57 inches of snow has already been dumped in Central Park this winter, making this the city’s seventh-snowiest year ever.

Fed up with the cold, Big Apple residents have been frantically booking last-minute getaways, travel agents said.

“It’s a lot of people who are walking down the street and they just say, ‘That’s it! I can’t stand it anymore!’ ” said Richard Beck, owner of ClassicTravel.com.

He added, “They are pretty desperate. That’s the attitude. They feel like they gotta get out of here.”

The number of warm-weather vacations booked by New Yorkers has spiked by at least 20 percent in the past month, Beck said.

Many of the trips are three- or four-day vacations, planned less than a week in advance, he said.

Other New Yorkers are hitting tanning beds, saunas and hot yoga to cope with the winter blues.

“Cold as hell and need to warm up. Vitamin D please! ” tweeted @lowayne, on the way to an East Village tanning salon.
