He’s got stugotz, all right.
A man caught beating down a 56-year-old woman during a subway robbery in Borough Park wore a college fraternity sweatshirt with his nickname on it, law enforcement sources said.
Aidan Folan, 21, was caught on camera wearing his favorite Alpha Phi Delta hoodie with custom lettering on the back that reads, “Stugotz 27,” sources added. The Italian slang term roughly translates to “testicles” and is so loved by the suspect he chose it and the number “27” for his Facebook page, sources added.
That made it easier for cops to track down the dim-witted brute who allegedly followed a straphanger down a flight of stairs at the 18th Avenue Borough Park train station around 2:40 a.m., March 9, sources said.
Folan – clothed in a sweatshirt that he wears in countless Facebook photos – grabbed the woman’s hood and shook her until he managed to slam her to the ground, sources added.
Police believe he’s the one in the video grabbing the victim’s black purse, while she tries to get up from the floor. Footage shows a vicious thug kicking the woman in the chest and stomping on her to keep her down. The robber then dumps the contents of the woman’s purse on the floor and rummages through the spilled goods.
The victim manages to grab her backpack and run out while the suspect chases her again. Miraculously, the woman received only minor injuries during the traumatic and violent robbery, police said.
The genius boasts his position as Alpha Phi Delta’s historian from his one year at St. Francis College before he left. He claims on the social networking site that he’s a counselor for children at the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park.
Officials at the center said Folan was merely an intern between July 2 and Aug. 16 this past summer, and has no current affiliation with the organization. Center officials also said Folan worked under close supervision.
He was charged with robbery and assault, police said. Folan has a second case pending in Manhattan for marijuana possession from a Jan. 12 bust on the Lower East Side.
