Jets meeting with free agent CB Dimitri Patterson

The Jets may be ready to address the gaping hole at cornerback.

Free agent corner Dimitri Patterson is visiting the Jets on Monday, according to a source. Patterson, 30, has played for six teams in nine seasons. He most recently was a member of the Dolphins.

Patterson intercepted four passes in six games for Miami in 2013.

Cornerback has become the Jets’ biggest need as they released Antonio Cromartie and either missed out on or did not pursue free agents Darrelle Revis, Vontae Davis, Alterraun Verner and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

At the moment, the Jets have Dee Milliner, Kyle Wilson and Darrin Walls as their top three corners.

The Jets also had two other free agents in for a visit: wide receiver Jacoby Ford and guard Rich Orhnberger. Ford has spent his four-year career with the Raiders. Orhnberger spent last season with the Chargers and has also played for the Patriots and Cardinals.

Linebacker Nick Bellore signed his one-year, $1.4 million tender. Bellore, a special teams ace, was a restricted free agent.
