Brooklyn blaze reveals fatal shooting

One man was found shot to death in a burning Brooklyn apartment and another victim was discovered wounded behind the building Sunday afternoon, cops said.

Authorities responded to a report of a fire inside a first-floor apartment in the Stuyvesant Gardens Houses around 4:21 p.m. when they found an unidentified 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, cops said.

The victim was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, where he was declared dead, cops added.

“At first, I thought it was thunder, but then I heard it again and I knew it was a gun,” said neighbor Ybonne-Kebin, 62. “I looked out my window and could see a lot of black smoke coming from the first floor.”

A second unidentified 38-year-old man was found in the rear courtyard of the building with a gunshot wound to his shoulder and torso. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

It is unknown how the fire started, and police are investigating the incident.
