Feds turning a blind eye to wife-beating Mafia snitches: lawyer

The feds are turning a blind eye to wife-beating Mafia snitches, a lawyer for accused Bonanno associate Neil Messina has argued in Brooklyn federal court.

Lawyer Gerry McMahon, claims that the case against his client should be tossed because three cooperators abused their women while prosecutors looked the other way.

The feds have created a “climate where the ex-wives and girlfriends of cooperators are open season and fair game for the predatory behavior of those who have agreements with the government,” he says in court papers. All three cooperated against Messina.
