Slain 4-year-old’s mom had lost custody, ‘wanted the best’ for son

The mother of a toddler who cops say died horribly at the hands of another caretaker insisted on Friday she “wanted the best” for her son — although she had lost custody of the 4-year-old to a father who was in jail at the time of the child’s death.

A distraught, crying Ashlee Dobson could barely speak above a whisper at her Brooklyn lawyer’s office on Friday and had to be escorted out not long after telling reporters, “I loved my son. He always loved me. He gave me kisses.”

Advocates and family members portrayed the absent mother of slain Myls Dobson as a victim in her own right.

“We want everyone to know that she is a mother,” said attorney Philip Lights. “She lost her son. This was not of her own doing.”

A cold-blooded godmother confessed to torturing the boy inside her luxury Manhattan apartment because she was forced by the jailing of the child’s father, Wade Okee, to cancel her vacation plans to care for him, law enforcement sources told the Post.

Transsexual model Kryzie King, 28, who is scheduled to be arraigned in Manhattan, told investigators that she stripped Miles Dobson down to his boxer shorts and locked him outside on a terrace of King’s luxury Midtown apartment on the coldest day of the winter, Jan. 7, the sources said.

King finally let the shivering boy back inside after an hour only to continue the abuse, sources said. Just before 11 am Wednesday, King frantically called 911 from her West 48th Street apartment after the boy collapsed unconscious in the bathtub, sources said.

Dobson had been hiding behind the shower curtain to escape from King, sources said.

King originally told police that she propped up Dobson on the bathroom counter and went into the living room, sources said.

Minutes later, she heard a noise and dashed back inside the bathroom, finding Dobson in the bathtub with foam in his mouth, she told cops.

But investigators became suspicious after they found bruises and defensive wounds on the child’s body, sources said.

After hours of police questioning, King confessed to the savagery, sources said. She also told police she shoved a gag in the boy’s mouth and tied him to a chair after he told her, “Nobody loves you,” a source said.

She then copped to stripping him naked and beating him with a wire and belt buckle, the sources said.

The mother’s attorney, Lights, wouldn’t address why Dobson had lost custody of her doomed son, saying only, “We’re conducting an investigation to find out why. That was a decision made by a family court judge, not my client.”

Lights said the father had won custody of the child in 2012 and that his mother had weekly visitations, and was “trying to get herself back together so that she can go and submit the proper documentation to get him back in her care.”
