Man kills granddaughter-in-law & shoots grandson before suicide

An 86-year-old grandpa who shot his grandson and killed the grandson’s girlfriend on Staten Island snapped because the lovebirds refused to move out of his sick daughter’s house, police and neighbors said.

Heriberto Pagan opened fire at Michael Feliciano, 47, and his fiancée, Claritle Christina Huerta, 28 — as their baby girl, Uriel, sat just yards away in the living room of the Park Hill home — before killing himself on Friday.

The rampage was triggered by a feud between Feliciano and Pagan, who was angry that his grandson and his fiancée had moved in with his daughter, Milly Feliciano, 69, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, cops and neighbors said.

“The cops were here a lot of times. There were a lot of arguments between the grandfather and grandson. The grandfather just didn’t want him here. It’s a shame for the family,” said a neighbor, who declined to give his name.

Pagan, who lived in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, often trekked to Staten Island to check on Milly and take her to church, neighbors said.

“Milly bought the house and [Feliciano] came to live with her. She took care of him financially and he watched her,” the neighbor added.

Pagan may have believed that Feliciano — who has a long arrest record — was taking advantage of his ill daughter, police sources said.

But it appears Milly too had had enough, asking her son to move out and filing an eviction proceeding, police sources said.

The grandfather waited until Milly moved to Puerto Rico before storming the home on Friday night, fatally shooting Huerta in the head and blasting Feliciano in the right cheek, police sources said.

Pagan fled in a red Mitsubishi Galant then put a bullet in his own head a block away, police sources said. Huerta died at Staten Island University Hospital North, police sources said.

Michael Feliciano was released from Staten Island University Hospital on Saturday with a bandage on his cheek.

Feliciano, who was smoking a cigar outside the hospital, declined to comment on Saturday, saying, “I’m just not there yet.”

Feliciano’s arrest history includes busts for possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of stolen property, robbery, trespassing and petit larceny, police sources said.
