LI teen planned ‘08 ‘Columbine’ attack, too

One of the Long Island teens busted last week in a twisted Columbine-style plot to shoot up their high school was arrested in a similar scheme two years ago.

Christopher Franko, 17, of Bohemia, pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy charges in 2009 after police foiled his plan to carry out an attack at Connetquot HS on April 20, 2008, the ninth anniversary of the Columbine massacre in Colorado.

Franko and his girlfriend, Dana Saltzman, 16, of Commack, were arrested last week for allegedly planning to bomb the school. The latest plot stemmed from relentless bullying from his classmates and angry Facebook exchanges, sources told The Post.

Other students were enraged at an inappropriate comment Franko allegedly left on a memorial Web page for a teen who died in a car accident.

After the Facebook exchange, a mob of kids tried to storm Franko’s home, and cops were called, neighbors said.

Franko and Saltzman were each charged with fifth-degree conspiracy.
