Disgraced money manager Kenneth Starr dumped his multiple sclerosis-stricken wife of 16 years, leaving her and their two daughters financially ruined, the heartbroken ex told The Post in an exclusive interview.
“He told me he was too old to wait for me to get better,” wheelchair user Marisa Starr, 46, said Thursday at her Syosset, LI, home. “I never saw it coming.”
The 2007 betrayal ended a life of luxury for a couple known for dashing about in limos and Learjets and entertaining celebrity clients in their Park Avenue palace.
“Everybody loved Ken — Al Pacino, Uma Thurman, [Sylvester] Stallone. It was all very friendly,” she said. “It’s just unbelievable how this turned out.”
Starr is charged with fraud for allegedly running a $30 million scheme that used clients’ money to finance his lavish tastes.
