De Blasio celebrates Super Bowl but won’t say if he will attend

He’s super excited about the big game, but Mayor de Blasio won’t say if he’ll be in the stands during Sunday’s first-ever New York Super Bowl.

De Blasio on Wednesday bizarrely dodged a question about attending MetLife Stadium, leaving it unclear if he’d even been offered a ticket.

“Well, we’re still working out the details, but I could not be more excited about the Super Bowl,” de Blasio said.

But on the subject of scoring a seat for the nation’s biggest sporting event, he said only: “I’ll be attending a number of events and we’re still working on the schedule.”

The New England Patriots fan was introduced by former Giants wide receiver David Tyree, whom he called a “miracle maker” for his spectacular “helmet catch” that helped the Giants upset the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
