Robin’s hood

Robin Williams has gotten himself a place on the Hudson. The Oscar-winning actor, who is making his Broadway debut in “Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo,” is renting a spacious birdcage in the Rushmore condo building on Riverside Boulevard for about $15,000 a month.

Williams’ four-bedroom, 2,489-square-foot unit in the Costas Kondylis-designed, 41-story new development had been listed for sale at $4 million.

The new luxury building, which was developed by Extell and has 289 units, includes a fitness center, a pool, a garden atrium and a screening room.

Bridgehampton Bill of sale

Hedge-fund billionaire Bill Ackman, founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, has made a big bet on the East End by buying a $22 million beach estate on Ocean Road in Bridgehampton.

The property is 6 acres, with an eight-bedroom, 8½-bathroom mansion, an infinity-edge pool, a tennis court and views of Sagg Pond and the ocean.

Corcoran Group listing broker Susan Breitenbach could not be reached for comment about the property, which was listed for $25.995 million.

It hasn’t been the best week for Ackman, though. Pershing Square’s holdings include Borders Group, which filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday.

We hear . . .

That recording artist/caped philanthropist Ivan Wilzig, also known as Sir Ivan, is unveiling a dragon goddess statue by Roby Braun at his 15,000-square-foot medieval-style castle in Water Mill. It will sit in the center pool and be illuminated by the castle’s flaming bowls.

Carrey on

Jim Carrey’s New York apartment is quite the glass act. The actor, who came to town to shoot “Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” decided to rent an entire floor at the Richard Meier-designed glass condo palace at 176 Perry St. The 3,800-square-foot, two-bedroom, 2½-bathroom residence, once rented by Hugh Jackman, includes floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River.

We hear that Carrey, who’s been dating former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Anchal Joseph, has extended his approximately $25,000-a-month short-term lease until May.

Bill Kowalczuk of Town Residential (formerly of the Corcoran Group), who rented the unit, declined to comment.

Harold’s home

Harold Ford Jr. is moving up. The former congressman and author of “More Davids Than Goliaths” has just closed on a five-bedroom, three-bathroom unit on West 15th Street.

The sprawling, 3,443-square-foot Chelsea co-op loft, with 12-foot ceilings, a formal living room, an eat-in kitchen and a media room, had an asking price of $3.4 million. The corner loft boasts big windows that let in plenty of light.

Ford and his wife, Emily Threlkeld, also just sold their 1,500-square-foot, one-bedroom Greenwich Village co-op on Fifth Avenue for $1.3 million — less than the 2006 purchase price of $1.52 million.

A-Rod hits 400

Alex Rodriguez and Cameron Diaz are still out on the town, scoping out trophy properties. They just visited the five-bedroom, 7,180-square-foot townhouse at 400 West St. in the Village. It’s priced at $18.95 million, but we hear that A-Rod, who is currently occupying a grand $30,000-a-month unit at 15 Central Park West, is looking to rent.

The 400 West St. townhouse, which includes a basketball court that converts into a screening room, is owned by developers/designers Bob and Cortney Novogratz, who are launching a new show on HGTV. It was rented to Heidi Klum and Seal last year.
