‘True Grit’ ingenue Steinfeld to follow up with trippy teen film

Hailee Steinfeld, the Academy Award-nominated breakout star of “True Grit,” has inked her next role — and it could not be more different from the Coen Brothers’ western drama.

Steinfeld, 14, will follow up her acclaimed big screen debut with “Forgotten,” an adaption of a trippy upcoming novel, Deadline reported Friday.

She will portray London Lane, a16-year old with inexplicable problems that leave her memory erased at 4:33am every morning.

“The following morning, all she can remember are events from her future,” the report said. “After meeting a new boy at school, London becomes frustrated that she can’t seem to find him in her memory of things to come.”

Steinfeld is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the upcoming Oscars for her role as the stoic, mature pre-teen searching for her father’s killer in “True Grit.”
