Reality star Kourtney Kardashian denies engagement rumors

LOS ANGELES — Reports of Kourtney Kardashian’s engagement to longtime boyfriend Scott Disick are not true, a publicist for her reality show told NewsCore Wednesday.

Kardashian and Disick, who have a one-year-old son together, were rumored to have gotten engaged with the proposal featured on the final episode of the show “Kourtney and Kim Take New York.”

“It’s not true,” E! spokesman John Rizzotti said about Life & Style magazine’s reportedly exclusive story on her engagement.

“WOW!! Where do the mags come up with this stuff? And claiming exclusives? Come on now,” Kourtney, 31, tweeted about the rumors after the news broke.

Disick had received a frosty reception from the uber-tight-knit Kardashian clan over his obnoxious drinking, flaring temper and wandering eye — all featured in the family’s various TV shows.

But the royal family of reality TV has apparently come around after Kourtney and Scott began couple’s counseling together.

“I’m just kind of taking my time,” Kourtney told CNN talk show host Piers Morgan in a January interview when asked if she was ready to tie the knot with Disick, 27.

While little sis, Khloe, is embracing the spotlight by announcing her new spin-off show with husband, Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom, Kourtney has hinted she may want to keep her son Mason away from the glare of the cameras.

“We tried to keep him as protected as possible,” she told People magazine in January as to why her son Mason would not appear in her latest show.

“We’ll take it season by season with Mason,” she said. “We’ll see how it goes and how we’re feeling at the time,” she added.
