Bx. man swipes unlocked Citi Bike, admits he didn’t pay for it

A Bronx man took advantage of an unlocked Citi Bike this morning – swiping it from its Hell’s Kitchen station when the owner failed to dock it properly, law-enforcement sources said.

Anthony Jones, 24, saw that the bike was securely docked, so he allegedly took it and rode off – in front of cops.

They confronted him, and he admitted that he didn’t pay for the bike, sources said.

He faces grand larceny and possession of stolen property charges.

It was the second alleged Citi Bike theft since the program started Sunday.
