If you’ve ever dated Anthony Weiner, please stand up.
Republican mayoral candidate Joe Lhota yesterday called on the disgraced former congressman’s ex-girlfriends to come forward and talk about any dirty deed he might have committed.
In a radio interview, Lhota said he hopes airing Weiner’s romantic past will show female voters what a creep he is.
“I hope [women] will come to the right conclusion after enough women come out and talk about what it was like to be with him and date him and things like that,” Lhota said on “The Andrea Tantaros Show” on the Talk Radio Network.
“New York women have to decide for themselves if this is someone who has the character to be mayor.”
The subject came up after Tantaros called Weiner “arrogant” and “disrespectful” for how he treated her Fox News colleague Megyn Kelly in past interviews.
“If he’s going to lie and be disrespectful to his own wife, how do voters in New York City believe he’s somehow going to respect their wishes and not act like some bizarro pervy freak?” Tantaros asked Lhota.
“Once they realize what you’ve observed,” Lhota replied. “And they come to understand it, I think that they will see there are viable choices other than Anthony.
“New York women are smart, and I think when they hear more about these stories, they will come to their own conclusions.”
Several women who dated Weiner declined to comment about their relationships with the pervy tweeter.
But after the 2011 sexting scandal sunk Weiner’s congressional career, one old flame backed him.
“The rap he gets is that he’s a smooth operator, but he’s very sweet, very funny, very charming,” the ex-gal pal, Fox News analyst Kirsten Powers, said then. She declined to comment yesterday.
However, other women who have dealt with Weiner on Capitol Hill say he’s a bully.
Emily Miller of The Washington Times said Weiner made crude jokes about the sexting scandal, using the words “firm” and “stiff” while she interviewed him after the scandal broke.
“I’ve never felt so humiliated . . . by a man in the workplace in my career,” Miller said.
Weiner’s rep said he wouldn’t respond to Lhota’s attack.
“Anthony is too busy talking about the future of the middle class and those struggling to make it to respond to Mr. Lhota’s mud throwing,” campaign spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said.
Meanwhile, a political-action committee is hitting Weiner where it hurts. The PAC for the union that represents school parent coordinators became the first group to use Weiner’s sexting pictures against him, posting some on its Web site yesterday.
“Disgraced Anthony Weiner . . . believes Parent Coordinators are a ‘waste of money’ and wants to eliminate the position,” the site said in an attack under the pics.
