WATCH: Suspected burglar limps away from scene of crime after getting busted by homeowner – only thing he managed to take was his cane

A burglar with a cast and a cane made a slow getaway after breaking into a home in Fort Greene last month, authorities said.

The ailing thief allegedly made his way through an open window of a basement apartment on St. James Place at around 10 a.m. May 24, police said.

While inside, the 24-year-old female resident came home and startled the man, who quickly waddled his way through the same window and was caught on video fleeing the scene.

The suspect left empty-handed and no injuries were reported, cops said.

He was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt and dark pants with a cast on his right foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
