Cops find van used in abduction of slain slumlord

A Brooklyn police captain found the Dodge Caravan used to abduct slumlord Menachem “Max” Stark, whose body was found torched in a Long Island dumpster, sources told The Post on Wednesday.

The van was sitting on a Brownsville street, covered with summonses, when a captain recognized it on Tuesday, a source said.

The van’s owner was taken to the 90th Precinct station house in Williamsburg, where the investigation is centered, but he was released without charges and is not considered a suspect.

Investigators spent Wednesday searching the van, which has Pennsylvania plates.

Surveillance video recorded Stark being forcefully pulled into the van on Jan. 2 outside his real-estate office. The body was found two days later in Great Neck, LI.

Investigators believe he was killed over money he owed to creditors — and that they may have only meant to rough Stark up.

Cops told his relatives an angry contractor was “stuck without payment” for work on two foreclosed buildings on South Fourth Street in Williamsburg, his brother, Yitzy, told Ami Magazine.

The properties, which are being turned into pricey loft apartments, have more than $30 million in debt.
