Family of former Mets ace Gooden evicted from New Jersey mansion: report

Dwight Gooden’s ex-wife and children have been evicted from their home in New Jersey after failing to pay rent. The former Rookie of the Year, who won three World Series with the Mets and Yankees, does not live with them.

According to TMZ, Gooden moved into the mansion in 2011 at a cost of $4,500 per month, but a few months later, his ex-wife got a restraining order against him, which forced Doc move out.

She and their two children were living in the mansion, but were evicted in July after the payments were not made. They missed four months payments, which was close to $20,000.

Gooden has been around the Mets the past month. He was at Citi Field in Juiy to take part in All-Star game festivities and returned a week later when a bobblehead of him was given out to the fans during a Mets game.

Since his retirement in 2002, Gooden has had a slew of legal troubles, including drug, alcohol and domestic abuse charges.
