A POLE-AX FOR BOTH NY SCORES

Thanks for the mammaries!

State Liquor Authority officials plan to put out of business not only Scores West, but also Scores on the East Side, by yanking the liquor licenses for the jiggle joints, officials said yesterday.

Club-condoned prostitution at Scores West has tainted the licenses for both clubs, SLA officials said yesterday.

It’s a prospect that could chill the hearts of the mammary meccas’ many famous frolicking fans – who over the years have included Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss, Russell Crowe, Queen Latifah and Jim Carrey.

The problem is that each club’s liquor license carries the names of the same two club honchos, Elliot Osher and Richard Goldring. Losing the Scores West license – which was to be physically confiscated last night – makes both Osher and Goldring “prohibited persons” under state Alcohol Beverage Control laws.

“This means we must now begin the process of going after the Scores East license, as the same two principals are on the license,” Crowley said.

The process will begin with the SLA issuing formal charges against Scores East early next week, and continue with the expected legal challenges and hearings.

Lawyers for Scores did not return repeated calls for comment yesterday.

The strip club empire – which licenses the name Scores to clubs in Las Vegas, New Orleans, Chicago and Baltimore – made a last-ditch attempt to stave off the SLA yesterday in Manhattan federal court, where Scores West has filed for voluntary bankruptcy.

“This business is my sole means of support,” Osher, vice president of Scores West, argued in court papers seeking a temporary stay of the revocation. “Without this business, my family will be ruined.”

A federal bankruptcy judge denied the stay, just as a state Appellate Division panel had last week.

The SLA had revoked the Scores West license in March after months of hearings in which undercover cops detailed how customers were encouraged by staff to pay as much as $700 for back-room sex with the dancers.

Yesterday’s bankruptcy court decision removed the final obstacle to yanking the Scores West license, Crowley said.

A phone message at the West Side Scores said the strip club was closed for “renovations.”

Nevertheless, SLA officials and the NYPD went to reclaim the liquor license yesterday afternoon, and a manager let them in.
