ENOUGH MCGREEVEY GROTESQUERIES

Please, please, please, let it be over.

Former New Jersey Gov. Jim “I am a gay American” McGreevey and his bitterly estranged wife and former political prop, Dina Matos, agreed Thursday to share custody of their 6-year-old daughter – the most contentious outstanding issue of their divorce proceedings.

Now maybe the two of them will leave the rest of us alone.

Once McGreevey quit – after admitting that he was gay and having given his (wholly unqualified) young squeeze a six-figure state job – the pair let loose on each other with a barrage of stomach-churning accusations, including sordid details about their sex life.

(No word on who’ll pay for the therapy their poor daughter likely will need after everything her parents have put her through.)

With their major problem settled, we hope the McGreeveys will – for the first time – show a little good sense and settle in to some well-deserved obscurity.

We’ve heard more than enough.
