A drunken NYPD cop who attacked state troopers was convicted of assault yesterday.
* Gilberto Vazquez, 46, was arrested after he rear-ended another vehicle on the Northern State Parkway on the night of the Giants’ 2008 Super Bowl victory, and a sobriety test showed he had twice the legal blood-alcohol level.
Vazquez, a 14-year veteran, was taken to the Farmingdale, LI, state troopers’ barracks, where he became “uncontrollable” and kicked or kneed a trooper in the groin, Assistant Nassau County DA Everett Witherell said.
