Man steals SUV, assaults girl sleeping in back seat

A Queens car thief sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl after he stole an SUV with her asleep in the back seat, authorities said Friday.

The victim’s 28-year-old uncle and a family friend had left the girl sleeping in the unlocked 2002 Ford Explorer with its keys in the ignition, while they ran into a bodega near Sutphin Boulevard and 109th Avenue around 6 p.m. Thursday, sources said.

That’s when Kapri Dickson, 23, slid behind the wheel and drove off, cops said.

The uncle and friend came out to find the car missing and called 911.

Shortly after the theft, the girl awoke and started screaming when she realized a stranger was driving in the car.
Dickson pulled over and started hitting the girl before pulling down her pants and sexually abused her, cops said.

The girl resisted but was badly beaten before cops from the Queens Gang Squad located the vehicle near Rockaway Boulevard and 147th Street and apprehended Dickson, cops said.

He was charged with sex abuse, grand larceny auto and possession of stolen property.
