Shooting mouth off

A Staten Island woman threatened to open fire at an elementary school because its building alarm was driving her crazy, authorities said.

Renata Angioli, 50, called the assistant principal of PS 58 Space Shuttle Columbia School in Heartland Village at about 5 a.m. Friday, and left a disturbing voicemail, court papers state.

“Your alarm has been going off! One of these days, I am going to acquire a rifle and start shooting at the school,” she allegedly said. “Then maybe [that] will shut the damn thing off!”

The school, located on Marsh Avenue, is close to Angioli’s home on Elmwood Park Drive.

Police arrested her shortly before 11 a.m. the same day, and she confessed to making the call, according to court papers.

Angioli told cops that the alarm was keeping her up all night, law-enforcement sources said.

She was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, according to Doug Auer, spokesman for Staten Island DA Daniel Donovan. Angioli was released without bail, but a temporary order of protection was issued, records show.

A Department of Education spokeswoman referred all questions on the incident to the NYPD.
