Zynga shuts down more games

Zynga said yesterday it is shutting down “The Friend Game,” “Party Place” and “CityVille 2, which it launched two months ago. That’s on top of 11 titles cut in December.

That leaves “FarmVille 2” as Zynga’s sole successful launch in the latest quarter.

The company’s fourth-quarter results met Wall Street’s low expectations — it narrowed its loss to $48.5 million, or 6 cents a share. Revenue was flat at $311 million.

Shares rose 6.6 percent after hours to $2.92.
