Sound the alarms! Style expert Mary Alice Stephenson was at Saturday’s Hervé Léger show, telling seatmates she had a model pass out into her arms at a preview. Another walking hanger was spotted crumbling to the floor at the Ostwald Helgason preview the same day.
Designer Phillip Lim wasn’t going to let his models suffer a similar fate at his Monday show. “Oh, no — I feed my girls: celery sticks, water, carrots, all the healthy stuff,” he told Buzz at the 3.1 Phillip Lim after-party at Santos Party House. “I don’t want to risk their bellies poking out in my designs.”
Rabbit food notwithstanding, Lim is dedicated to his models’ health — and his show’s success. “I’m not a slave driver . . . if they fall on the runway, you won’t be able to pay attention to the clothes,” he said.

THIS YEAR’S MODEL
Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons pondered the pluses of dating models at BCBG Max Azria Group’s after-party at the Top of the Standard, which overflowed with Champagne and Amazonian women in bandage dresses. “Well, lots of models speak lots of languages,” Simmons mused. “They’re self-educated sometimes, but mostly, pretty sophisticated. And they’re not crazy, like actresses.”
“And,” he added, “they are available to travel with you.”
Simmons, who has recently been dating German model Hana Nitsche, plans to “send something nice” to his Valentine. “I can’t tell you what,” he said. “I can’t even tell you who she is.” Luckily, Google Images can.

After a rapid 21-pound weight loss, Knicks coach Mike Woodson shed his usual baggy duds for a slick blazer at Monday night’s book party for “1 Pound a Day” by Roni DeLuz and James Hester. “It was weird not eating food,” he said, still coming down from his three-week January detox, during which he subsisted on juices. “It was hard to give up a nice glass of wine and a good steak,” he added, sipping a hard-earned glass of red but passing on a tofu-based hors d’oeuvre. “I can’t even think of the 10 a.m. drink,” he said. “There was a powder that you’d mix with water. It was made of green leaves. It was awful.” Still, the trim coach said the detox paid off. “I just feel good. My players will be proud of me.”

Janice Dickinson can hardly wait for her Valentine’s Day surprise from fiancé Robert “Rocky” Gerner. “Ooh, is it an African baby?” she cooed at the Reality of FASHION, the Reality of AIDS show, where Page Six reported she sashayed off the catwalk with $20,000 in jewelry (which Dickinson claims she later returned). “You know, like Angelina Jolie! I already have kids, but I want seven!” Maybe he ought to gift her some new gems instead?
