Make-up expert’s Chelsea digs — and furnishings — for sale

The Chelsea apartment of the late E. James Landolphi, who appeared on Oprah when he ran the cosmetics and fragrance floor at Henri Bendel, is about to go on the market for $625,000.

The 550-square-foot, ninth-floor apartment is at 405 W. 23rd St., in London Terrace, a prewar doorman co-op comprised of four buildings.

The unit, we hear, is filled with over-the-top furnishings and accessories that will be offered in an estate sale held at the apartment between 1 and 3 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 12 — before the property hits the market. Items up for sale are valued at $40 to $5,000.

Landolphi’s celebrity clients included Cher, Bette Midler and Melanie Griffith. Susan Singer, of Town Residential, has the listing.
