Huntley pals in 30G ripoff

Two cronies of ex-state Sen. Shirley Huntley pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $30,000 in taxpayer funds from a bogus not-for-profit group founded by Huntley, state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced yesterday.

Huntley last week pleaded guilty to her role in trying to cover up the theft of taxpayer dollars.

Former Huntley staffer Patricia Savage and her niece, Lynn Smith, pleaded guilty in Nassau County Supreme Court to the felony of attempted grand larceny for pocketing $29,950 in state legislative “member item” funds that Huntley steered to Parent Workshop.
