Police question teen in shooting death of 14-year-old girl on Queens bus

Queens detectives picked up a 16-year-old boy for questioning, in connection to the shocking slaying of a 14-year-old girl, killed on a city bus this past weekend, police said.

NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly disclosed this latest development, after appearing at City Council budget hearing today.

“We have a person of interest. We don’t want to say anymore. He’s not charged,” Kelly said. “We were looking for an individual and we’re speaking to him. There’s some nexus to crews and gangs.”

New Yorkers were outraged after learning about the death of Daja Robinson, 14, who was shot in the head while sitting on the Q6 bus.

The shooter is believed to be a gang member, who was gunning for a 16-year-old girl on that same bus, law enforcement sources have told The Post. That girl had been targeted for death for dissing the shooter’s crew, sources said.
