ALL GOOD: They don’t call her “The Good Ms. Padgett” for nothing! Beloved Brooklyn songstress Anna Padgett’s magical, musical way with kids (and parents) is as good as it gets — so be sure to get in on the action when she plays a pre-brunch set at Jalopy Theatre featuring favorites from her self-titled debut album and “The Good Ms. Padgett Sings the Little Red Hen and Other Stories.” 11 a.m., $8 per person, $25 per family of four, kids under 2, free. 315 Columbia St., at Second Place, Red Hook; 718-395-3214, jalopy.biz

HOP ALONG: Introduce kids to the classic work of Edward Hopper at the Whitney Museum’s Hopper Drawing Family Day, where kids ages 4 to 12 can get inspired touring the new “Hopper Drawing” exhibition, then take part in a collaborative drawing project with artist Jason Polan. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., $20 for adults, ages 18 and under, free. 945 Madison Ave., at 75th Street; 212-570-3600, whitney.org

WEIRD SCIENCE: Whoops, that’s World Science — as in the World Science Festival’s Ultimate Science Street Fair, where kids can spend the day conducting cool experiments with real scientists. Among the most appealing offerings are the food-as-fuel workshop “Eat-Play-Learn,” a “Smell Lab” for making personalized scents and demonstrations demystifying such phenomena as black holes and gravity. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., free.
