Tailor to the stars gets time served for not paying $3M taxes

A Manhattan judge sentenced tailor to the stars Mohan “Mike” Ramchandani to time served in Manhattan Supreme Court Wednesday for failing to pay over $3 million in taxes.

The tax cheat — who has outfitted the likes of Rudy Giuliani, Ed Koch and Knick legends Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Patrick Ewing — has paid back the whopping $5.5 million he owes in back taxes and penalties.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Larry Stephen took into account the terminal illness of Ramchandani’ wife in handing out the lenient sentence.

Ramchandani copped to felony filing of false tax documents and falsifying business records in March of 2013.

The debonair tailor isn’t getting off scot-free. He’s expected to trade in his custom-made three pieces for prison-issue jump-suits when he serves time for a related tax evasion case in Manhattan federal court, prosecutors said.

Ramchandani of Mohan’s Custom Tailors is famous for his print ads where he’s dwarfed by clients like the late NBA center Manute Bol, who stood 7-foot-7.

“Every man needs 15 suits — some solid, some stripes and one plaid,” Ramchandani once told a Post reporter.
