Yacht ‘robber’ sunk

A hammer-wielding man broke into a yacht at Pier 25 — only to wake the captain, who busted the crook aboard the vessel, law-enforcement sources said.

Shlomo Avraham, 31 — a Bronx man with a lengthy rap sheet — allegedly used a hammer to bust in, and tried to swipe tools and food, police sources said.

But Johnathan Ollwerther — a 25-year-old captain from the Upper West Side — was jolted awake at the TriBeCa pier by the alleged crook, then called 911 just before 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Cops found a hammer on the counter of the yacht, two bags of methamphetamine and a pipe, cops said.

Avraham told police he was looking for “anything valuable to sell for money,” according to a criminal complaint.

The alleged thief’s clothes were scattered around the yacht, in the engine room and utility closet, police said.

Cops charged him with second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance.

Avraham has been arrested for at least seven other crimes, including assault, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, trespassing and robbery.

He did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
