What a bad parking job!

An Upper Manhattan parking lot attendant accidentally drove a van through a fence, over an alley and into a five-story building last night – smashing a ground-level store and damaging residents’ units.

The accident happened at about 9 p.m., in the rear of the West 181st Street building.

Resident Henrietta Skeeter was with her grandson at the time, with her daughter laying down in the next room, when she heard “a horrible noise.” The van crash happened one floor below – and has Skeeter worried about her apartment wall, given the building’s age.

“He was moving his van, and he just lost control,” Skeeter said. “He couldn’t control it.”

Skeeter said two women standing on the first floor at the time of the accident were taken to the hospital. Somehow, the driver wasn’t injured.

“He’s lucky the van didn’t go down into that alley,” Skeeter said. “If it did, the van would have folded in on itself.”

There’s no word on whether the driver will face any charges.
