Man viciously attacked at Village train station: cops

A man was viciously attacked by a pack of youths at a Greenwich Village train station, Port Authority cops said.

The 44-year-old victim was about to go through the turnstile at the Christopher Street PATH station around 6:30 a.m., Sunday when a group of six young people suddenly approached him and prevented him from entering, PAPD officials said.

Cops don’t believe the victim knew the thugs, sources said.

The man tried to talk it out with the suspects but then bolted when he heard one of attackers yell, “Get him!” sources said.

The assailants, made up of males and females, allegedly gave chase before catching up to him, throwing him to the ground and kicking and punching him about the face and head.

The group fled the scene, leaving the battered man covered in cuts and bruises, PAPD officials said.

No arrests have been made.
