‘The Bible’ sequel to air on NBC

NBC says it will air a sequel to the hit cable miniseries "The Bible." The network said that it will join with producer Mark Burnett and his actress-wife, Roma Downey, on the sequel. AP

NBC will make a sequel to History’s popular series, “The Bible.”

Like its cable predecessor, “A.D: Beyond the Bible,” will be produced by Mark Burnett and wife Roma Downey.

“The Bible” snared over 13 million viewers in its premiere last March and retained most of its viewership through its run.

According to NBC, “A.D: Beyond the Bible,” will follow the period after the death of Jesus and unrest in the Holy Land. No airdate yet.
