McGreevey lands a job

Former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey has been hired by the new mayor of Jersey City.

Mayor Steve Fulop announced yesterday that McGreevey will run a city commission dedicated to job creation and training.

The former Democratic governor has been working for a program that helps women prisoners.

McGreevey served as governor for two years, and resigned in 2004 shortly after announcing “I am a gay American” amid revelations that he had an affair with a man he had put on his payroll.

Fulop says that in addition to job creation and training, McGreevey will also develop prisoner re-integration programs.
