MLB: Red Sox keep rolling

NBA: Mavs and Ellis agree to deal

The Mavericks and Monta Ellis agreed to a deal, according to ESPN. The deal is reportedly for three years and could be worth as much as $30 million.

NFL: Jags owner buys Fulham

Jaguars owner Shad Khan bought the English soccer club Fulham, becoming the sixth American owner in the Premier League.

Tour de france: Cavendish takes stage

Mark Cavendish won the 13th stage of the Tour de France in a sprint finish and Chris Froome lost a sizable chunk of his overall lead after being caught by Alberto Contador.

Cavendish moved ahead with about 100 meters to go and rival Peter Sagan, the defending champion and current leader in the sprinters’ green jersey contest, was unable to stay with him.
