Spitzer dodges living arrangement with wife: ‘Our private lives are our private lives’

Eliot Spitzer dodged a question today on whether he and his wife, Silda, are still living together.

During an interview on WPIX 11, Spitzer was asked if he and Silda were still a couple. “Yes,” the candidate for comptroller answered.

He even proudly noted that Silda signed and carried petitions to help get him on the ballot.

But Spitzer, who resigned in disgrace as governor in a hooker scandal in 2008, deflected a question on whether they were still living together.

“Our private lives are our private lives,” Spitzer said.

“I’ve answered many questions over the past weeks about that . . . But at a certain point I’m running for comptroller,” he said..

The Post reported exclusively in May that he and Silda had been living under different roofs.
