Teacher, woman shot by BB gun outside Brooklyn elementary school

A teacher and another woman were shot with BB pellets outside a Brooklyn elementary school today, law-enforcement sources said.

Both victims, believed to be in their 40s, were standing in front of PS 243 on Dean Street in Crown Heights at 11:50 a.m. when an unidentified assailant walked up with a BB gun and opened fire, sources said.

The teacher, who works at the school, was struck in the wrist, sources said. The other victim was hit in the thigh.

It’s unclear if they were the intended targets. The gunman ran off.

The victims were taken to Kings County Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

Newly minted NYPD recruits who were in the area as part of the department’s Impact program to drive crime down rushed to the scene.

In June, the 77th Precinct, which covers Crown Heights, registered at least four homicides.
