A Long Island man was fatally shot this morning in Brooklyn, police said.
Police found Carlos Nunez, 37, behind the wheel of a Toyota minivan that had crashed into five parked cars around 12:45 a.m. on Decatur Street and Irving Avenue in Bushwick, police said.
The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where they discovered that the man had been shot in the face, police said.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately known, cops said.
Nunez, of Valley Stream, has been arrested in the past for assault and drugs, law enforcement sources said.
