Arianna an apt. ‘trasher’

Arianna Huffington threw wild parties at her swanky Chelsea rental apartment that caused nearly $300,000 in damage — then moved out without paying for the repairs, according to a lawsuit.

When the Huffington Post founder moved out in January, the owner found “virtually all of the walls . . . gouged, stained and otherwise damaged,” a “blood-stained” queen mattress and pillow top, and a destroyed custom-made dining table, according to the Manhattan civil court filing.

“Huffington was using the apartment for large parties and business functions in breach of the sublease and Huffington’s promises,” landlord Eric Steel, who produced the movies “Julie & Julia” and the 2000 “Shaft” remake, said in court documents.

She even made “innumerable copies of the elevator lock for persons coming into and living at the apartment,” necessitating a change in the locks, according to the suit.

And although she was supposed to be the only person living there, her “daughters and other residents resided in the apartment for substantial periods. Additional beds were placed in the office and den,” the suit alleges.

She paid between $27,000 and $32,000 a month for the pad, the suit said.

In all, Steel wants Huffington to pay $275,000 in damages.

“Every single claim in this suit is false except the square footage and the address,” Huffington said in a statement.
