Grad school heavy bias

Overweight graduate school applicants receive fewer admission offers than their thinner counterparts, according to the journal Obesity.

Researchers analyzed 97 grad school applications and found that candidates with a higher body-mass index who were asked to do an interview had lower admission rates than thinner applicants and overweight applicants who didn’t interview.

For women, the negative correlation between weight and the chance of getting accepted was even higher.
